I LOVE Sundays. To me, Sundays were made for sleeping in, lounging, recharging, but also enjoying some Sunday Funday time! We had a family birthday party to go to this past weekend and I had the Sunday feels. I had no idea what I wanted to wear when I walked into my closet, but I knew that I didn’t want to have to think too much about it. And to my, and hubby’s surprise, I left the house in the first outfit and pair of shoes I put on… I know, shocker! 😉
The trick to that relaxed and effortless Sunday look that you can also feel fab enough to go to brunch in is having the right key pieces.
Here are a few tips on using pieces from your closet to create your summer sunday look:
- An effortless one piece outfit. I chose this polka dot H&M piece out of my closet because all I needed to do was literally throw it on and tie a bow. Done! Other pieces that would work well would be rompers/jumpsuits, a maxi dress, or a sheath dress.
- A pair of shoes you can “slip” into. I am a BIG fan of slip on shoes, mostly because I love the feeling of my feet being free. It must be the California girl in me that grew up in flippy floppies pretty much 365 days of the year. So when I discovered these mules I thought to myself, “slip on shoes that come in heel form?!” That was a no brainer for me!
- Statement accessory. I felt a hat worked best to pull this look together. Find whatever works for your outfit/mood/style to tie everything in.
